For teaching in Secondary Schools of India you should be a graduate in any subject
and also poses a B.Ed degree. B.Ed degree is offered by teacher training colleges affiliated to various regional universities. The course is of one year duration and the syllabus is prepared within the design of the NCERT.
For admission in B.Ed course you need to be graduate with 50 per cent of marks from a recognized university of India or equivalently qualified. In many states the candidate seeking admission of B.Ed should be subject of that state. State government can prescribe the upper age limit of fresh candidates who have no prior teaching experience.
